Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jaime Johnson

Jaime Johnson’s hot hand propelled the Greenfield School varsity boys basketball team to its third win of the season last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jaime, a 5-foot-10 junior guard, had a game-high 21 points on 7-of-12 shooting from 3-point range as the Knights drilled Sanford Grace Christian 98-50 on Tuesday. Through four games, Jaime is averaging 22 points a game and has made 26 of 49 3-pointers for a 53-percent accuracy rate.

The son of Tonya and James Johnson of Wilson, Jaime maintains a 3.4 grade point average at Greenfield where he belongs to Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) and Students Against Violence Everywhere (SAVE).

Jaime also is a member of the Wilson Blue Devils AAU basketball program. He has contributed his time to doing volunteer work at The Whirligig Festival in Wilson and he and his family attend Word Tabernacle Church in Rocky Mount.
