Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Terrance Peterson

Beddingfield senior Terrance Peterson enjoyed another outstanding day on the track last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Terrance remained unbeaten this spring in the 100-meter dash and won the 200 in a season-best time of 22.3 seconds as the Bruins easily won Thursday’s tri-meet at home against 2-A Eastern Plains Conference rivals Farmville Central and SouthWest Edgecombe.

Terrance was also part of victorious 4x100- and 4x200-meter relays as the Bruins swept the relays.

A football and basketball standout at Beddingfield, Terrance is an honor-roll student. He is a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes and has served as a Bruins Freshman Mentor.

The son of Brenda Gorham of Wilson and the late Compton Willoughby, Terrance works part-time at Ward’s Steak & Cheese restaurant in Wilson.

He has been selected to play in the N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Football Game in July.
