Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jenna Pate

Senior Jenna Pate produced with her bat and her pitching arm for the Beddingfield High varsity softball team last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

In two games at the D.H. Conley Invitational at Winterville’s Sara Law Softball Complex on Saturday and Monday, Jenna went 5 for 6 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Jenna also picked up a win in the pitching circle, throwing two shutout innings in relief as the Lady Bruins rallied past South Central 8-6.

The daughter of Donna and Danny Pate of Wilson, Jenna is ranked No. 2 in her class of 213 at Beddingfield. She has a 4.78 weighted grade point average (3.96 unweighted) while taking Advance Placement and International Baccalaureate courses.

Jenna, who was on the Lady Bruins volleyball and swim teams, is a member of the Bruinettes, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and National Honor Society at Beddingfield, where she is also a freshman mentor.

Jenna has been accepted into the Honors College at East Carolina University where she will study exercise physiology.
