Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Madison Bell

Junior Madison Bell played a vital role in each of the Southern Nash High varsity softball team’s three wins last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Madison rapped two hits in each game as the Ladybirds topped 3-A Big East Conference rivals Hunt and Rocky Mount and non-conference foe Louisburg. She also drove in two runs in the 12-2 win against Rocky Mount as the Ladybirds pushed their Big East mark to 4-0.

The daughter of Maryann and John Bell of Bunn, Madison has a 4.35 weight grade point average while taking honors and Advanced Placement courses and is ranked No. 8 in the junior class at Southern Nash. She is a member of the school’s BETA Club, Heath Occupations Students of America (HOSA) and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

She also runs cross-country and indoor track at Southern Nash.

Madison gives generously of time volunteering for such organizations as Special Olympics, Miracle League of Louisburg and Nash County Parks and Recreation youth baseball.
