Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Winquika Hill

Senior Winquika Hill had a productive 3-A Big East Conference championship meet last Wednesday for the Fike High girls track and field team, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Winquika scored in four events to post 11.5 points for the Lady Demons to a third-place finish. She was second in the 300-meter hurdles and part of Fike’s runner-up 4x400 relay.

The daughter of Debra Moore and Corey Dew of Wilson, Winquika has a 3.96 grade point average at Fike, where she is a member of National Honor Society and National Technical Honor Society.

She is also a member of Wilson Youth Council and volunteers as a tutor as well as at Avante at Wilson and The Landing at Parkwood Village.

Winquika plans to continue her education at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn., where she will study biology.
