Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Nathan Webb


Nathan Webb was an integral figure in the SouthWest Edgecombe High boys golf team’s second straight state 2-A championship appearance last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Nathan, a junior, compiled a two-round score of 82-85—167 as the Cougars finished seventh in the 12-team field at Longleaf Golf and Country Club in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 2-A tournament.

Nathan was the Eastern Plains Conference champ and finished runner-up in the 2-A East Regional tournament, losing in a one-hole playoff to West Bladen’s Kayla Thompson.

The son of Heather and Kevin Myrick of Pinetops, Nathan holds a 3.4 grade point average at SouthWest, where he was a member of the swim team and is in Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Nathan works part-time at Maccripine Country Club and plans to compete in several Carolinas Junior Golf Association tournaments over the summer.
