Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Shane Caster


Senior Shane Caster played a big role in his Fike High varsity boys soccer team remaining undefeated last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Shane had a goal in the Golden Demons’ 4-1 win over C.B. Aycock on Tuesday then added a goal and an assist as Fike blanked Beddingfield 3-0 on Thursday. He has five goals in the Demons’ seven games thus far.

At Fike, Shane carries a 4.7 weighted grade point average entering his senior year. The son of Lisa and Joseph Caster of Wilson, Shane is a member of the school’s chapter of National Honor Society and is on the swim team.

In preparation for his entry to the United States Marine Corps, Shane is undergoing physical training twice a week.

He also plays select soccer for Tar River Youth Soccer Association in Rocky Mount.

Shane and his family attend St. Therese Catholic Church in Wilson.
