Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Ashley Gardner

Ashley Gardner capped her Beddingfield High girls golf career in fine fashion last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Ashley, a senior, competed as an individual in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A/2-A championship tournament, shooting 102-106—208 to tie for 51st place in the 78-golfer field. She averaged a score of 95 for the season and landed in her third straight NCHSAA 1-A/2-A East Regional tournament while making the state tournament for the first time.

Ashley is an honor-roll student at Beddingfield, where she is a member of Student Government Association and the Bruins’ Pep Club.

She plans on pursuing a career in nursing and will attend either Pitt Community College or Wake County Technical College.

The daughter of Jonna and Adam Gardner of Wilson, Ashley is active at Wildwood Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson.
