Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jassmine Stevens

Senior Jassmine Stevens helped the Beddingfield High varsity girls basketball team continue its unbeaten start to the 2013-14 season last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Jassmine, a 5-foot-9 forward, pulled down eight rebounds and had an assist in the Lady Bruins’ 56-19 win at Southern Nash on Dec. 10. She followed that performance by bucketing eight points and snaring three rebounds in a 55-26 victory over Fike on Dec. 13, which ran Beddingfield’s record to 4-0 prior to a 67-20 win over Greene Central on Tuesday evening.

The daughter of Penny Stevens of Wilson, Jassmine is a member of JROTC and the National Honor Society, while holding a 3.75 unweighted GPA as an honor roll student. She plans to attend Georgia Military College and is in her second year as a member of the National Guard.

In the spring, Jassmine is active on the Lady Bruins’ track team.
