Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Rebekah Langley

Rebekah Langley played a key role in her Fike High varsity girls basketball team’s biggest win of its season last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Rebekah, a sophomore guard, scored the go-ahead basket, triggering a 9-0 run by the Lady Demons as they stunned archrival Hunt 52-44 in Friday’s regular-season finale at Fike. Rebekah finished with a game-high 16 points to go with four rebounds.

In Monday’s loss to Big East Conference champion Northern Nash, Rebekah finished with eight points. For the season, Rebekah averaged 5.9 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.

She had a 4.25 weighted grade point average entering her sophomore year at Fike, where she is a member of the Good Samaritans and Interact Club, formerly the Keywanettes. Rebekah also sings in the chorus and plays soccer at Fike.

The daughter of Teresa Langley of Wilson and Thomas Langley of Wilson, Rebekah plays travel soccer for the Wilson Youth Soccer Association ‘98 Explosion.
