Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Keenan Tabron


Senior Keenan Tabron helped lift his Hunt High varsity boys basketball to the 3-A Big East Conference tournament last week, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

Keenan had 13 points and six rebounds as the Warriors handled archrival Fike 77-59 in the Big East semifinals on Thursday. He then chipped in nine points with a rebound as Hunt finished an unbeaten Big East run with a 68-61 conquest of host Rocky Mount in the championship game Friday.

For the season, Keenan is averaging 11.8 points, 2.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals per game.

Keenan is a three-year varsity performer for the Warriors. He earned All-Big East and The Wilson Times All-Area acclaim last season. Keenan also runs track for the Warriors.

The son of Tonique Tabron-Bridgeman and Christopher Bridgeman of Wilson, Keenan has a 2.6 grade point average at Hunt, where he is a member of the DECA Club. He has worked as a volunteer for Special Olympics.

As yet undecided on his college choice, Keenan has been accepted by five colleges and is leaning towards a major in computer science.
