Thomas & Farris Student-Athlete of the Week: Emma Jane Proctor

Freshman E.J. Proctor had a big foot in the Fike High girls soccer team’s 2-1 start last week, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Student-Athlete of the Week.

In just her second match for the Golden Demons, Proctor made her presence known by scoring all three goals in Fike’s 3-0 win at Richlands in Friday’s Battle of the Beach opener. The Demons lost 3-1 at D.H. Conley in the season opener Monday and beat Southwest Onslow 1-0 in the second day of Battle at the Beach on Saturday.

E.J., a standout on the girls tennis and girls basketball teams as well at Fike, has made just as auspicious a splash academically. She’s made the A honor roll each grading period thus far while taking honors and pre-International Baccalaureate courses.

The daughter of Kathy and Kelly Proctor of Wilson, E.J. is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Students Against Destructive Decisions, Students Against Violence Everywhere and Student Government Association at Fike. She serves as treasurer for the SGS.

E.J., who plays for the ‘94 Greenville Stars soccer club, volunteers her time through SADD and SAVE and at other functions such as The Brittany.
