Thomas & Farris Student-Athlete of the Week: Jacob Page




Jacob Page concluded a stellar four-year career as quarterback of the Hunt High varsity football team last Friday night, making him this week’s Thomas & Farris Student-Athlete of the Year.

In his career finale — the Warriors’ 29-13 loss to Northern Guilford in the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-AA Eastern championship — Jacob was 4 for 4 for 40 passing yards and ran for another 43.

For his career, Jacob completed 199 of 383 passes (51.9 percent) for 3,043 yards and 32 touchdowns and ran for 442 yards and nine TDs.

At Hunt, Jacob is ranked 23rd in his senior class of 300 and holds a 4.2 weighted grade point average. He serves as vice president of the Student Booster Club as well as Fellowship of Christian Athletes at Hunt. Jacob is also a member of National Honor Society and Student Government Association.

The son of Tonya and Joey Page of Wilson, Jacob has received an appointment to United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y.
