Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week: Jena Scott

Jena Scott was a driving force for the Wilson Christian Academy varsity girls basketball team last week as it won the N.C. Christian School Association 3-A championship, making her this week’s Thomas & Farris Attorneys Student-Athlete of the Week.

In three games in the state playoffs, Jena, a junior point guard, averaged 12 points, 4.0 assists and 3.7 steals while committing zero turnovers as the Lady Chargers won the NCCSA 3-A crown for the second time in three years. She earned NCCSA All-State acclaim for the third straight season.

The daughter of Kim and Linwood Scott of Lucama, Jena maintains a 4.0 grade point average at Wilson Christian, where she is in the school’s chapter of National Honor Society. She was also a member of the Lady Chargers’ state champion volleyball team last fall.

Jena is also a member of Rock Ridge 4-H and regularly participates in livestock shows.

She and her family attend Marsh Swamp Free Will Baptist Church in Rock Ridge.
