NC National Guard 1132nd Military Police Company Return from Iraq

Elm City -- Approximately 120 soldiers of the 1132nd Military Police Company headquartered in Rocky Mt. arrived to a hero’s welcome from family and friends at the Rocky Mt / Wilson Airport Tuesday afternoon. During the deployment to Iraq, this unit suffered the heaviest casualties of any NC National Guard Company since World War II. 5 Soldiers were killed in action, four from NC and over twenty wounded. The 1132nd entered active duty in June 2007 and was deployed to Baghdad area in September 2007. Welcome home 1132nd!
