1st day early voting bring people out Thursday, October 16, 2008
More than 50 people were waiting in line Thursday morning at the Wilson County Board of Elections for the chance to cast their ballots in this year's election.
Election workers have said they expect a big turnout for this year's election, and the first hour of the first day of early voting did little to dampen those expectations. More than 50 people were in line to vote by the time the doors opened at 8 a.m. and more than 80 people had passed through the doors by 8:30. Early voting will continue for the two and a half weeks. |
