Redistricting public forum Thursday, November 06, 2008
Nine people voiced their opinions about the Wilson County Board of Education’s proposed school redistricting plans during Wednesday night’s public forum held at Forest Hills Middle School.
The bulk of the comments centered around concerns about the potential effects of redistricting on the Lucama community and on why children can’t be sent to elementary schools closer to their homes. Less than 50 people attended the forum. The next opportunity for the community to voice its opinion about redistricting will be during the public comment time of the board’s regular meeting Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. |
