RAW TAPE - emergency responders act out aircraft rescue Friday, September 12, 2008
Dozens of aircraft passengers were whisked to area hospitals Thursday night following a crash involving two planes at the Rocky Mount-Wilson Regional Airport.
While this scene never actually happened, it was the scenario Wilson and Nash emergency responders acted out Thursday during an aircraft rescue training exercise held at the airport. The full scale simulation, involving the airport and several agencies from both counties, was required of the airport in order to meet Federal Aviation Administration requirements. |
