Mock election- Where student votes count
Tuesday, November 04, 2008
Students at Fike High School will head to the polls on Monday and Tuesday to vote in a mock presidential election.

The project, which is a collaboration between several math and social studies teachers, is designed to encourage participation in the election process and to get students to encourage their parents to vote in the real election.

The mock election will be held in the commons area of the cafeteria during all four lunches. Votes will be tallied on Tuesday.

This election activity at Fike is just one of many that will be held in schools across the county between now and election day.
