Now Playing: Passengers Leave Plane Friday, January 23, 2009 Passengers of U.S. Airways flight 1549 leave their doomed plane by walking out onto the wings, Jan. 15, 2009. All passengers exited safely. The National Transportation Safety Board has speculated the plane suffered a bird strike after leaving LaGuardia airport, crippling both engines, before the plane crashed into the Hudson river.
