Students bring light through song Tuesday, November 18, 2008
Tuesday morning students from Gardners Elementary School would be the featured entertainment during the Wilson County blind association’s meeting at New Beginnings Free Will Baptist Church. The first-graders in Rebecca Mansfield’s and Barbara Ellis’ class entertained the group of about 20 people.
The children sang, danced and smiled their way through the program, which included time for the children to walk out and greet the audience. This is the fourth year that Mansfield and Ellis have let their children perform for the group. The church started the blind ministry about seven years ago. The group meets the third Tuesday of each month. |
