RAW TAPE - KENLY -- A Kenly woman was killed early Saturday after a power-packing tornado ripped through her Scott Road home leaving a two-mile path of destruction in Johnston. Emergency personnel were notified at 3:20 a.m. that a tornado, with wind speeds exceeding 145 mph, touched down near the Scott Road area, Whitehurst said. The tornado plowed through a two-mile area, starting near N.C. 222 East and Crumpler Road, moving through Scott Road and traveling northeast through Johnston County, Wilson and part of Wayne County, just beyond N.C. 581.
