Despite the freezing cold temperatures, between 500 and 600 children showed up at Reggie's Grocery on Singletary Street Tuesday morning to pick out toys, clothes and food during the Wilson Police Department's annual Christmas in the South.Sgt. Reggie Branch with the Wilson Police Department said that because of generous donations from local businesses and citizens, they are able to have toys, food, bikes and clothing to be given away to people in need.
