One of the many joys of summer is the swimming pool. There's nothing more refreshing than a cool dip in the water. Lucky for you young swimmers, a couple of groups in Wilson agree. They want to promote the sport of swimming in a Fun Meet. Wilson Recreation and Parks and the Barracuda Swim Team hosted their annual "Fun Meet: Cool in the Pool" event Wednesday afternoon. Swimmer ages 6-18 enjoyed the fun. There were 42 events, separated by age, gender and style of swimming. Freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke are the styles of swimming.
