Now Playing: Kickoff to annual event begins in downtown Wilson Saturday, November 01, 2008 The kickoff to the fourth annual Whirligig Festival began Friday night in downtown Wilson.Around 5 p.m. the Barnes Street parking lot was filled with trick-or-treaters and members of First Christian Church waiting to pass out candy to excited children.In an effort to reach out to the community, members of First Christian Church decorated the trunks of their cars — some scary, some fun — with Halloween decorations and bowls full of candy.
