Bowling Family Statement

The family of Julie Rowland Bowling issued a statement Monday about Mark Bowling's plea bargain through their attorney.

"The family of Julie Rowland is satisfied with the plea agreement reached today by the District Attorney's Office. The family understood the necessity of reaching the plea agreement with Rose Vincent earlier. The family is now satisfied that Mark Bowling has admitted to being equally responsible for Julie's death in concert with Rose Vincent.

"The family wishes to express its appreciation for the work of the Nash County Sheriff's Department (Office) and the District Attorney's Office. We now ask that the media and public respect our need for privacy. Most importantly, we wish to thank all our friends and supporters who have given us strength and expressed their love for Julie throughout this difficult process."
