Names of shooting victims at Hogs Pen Pub released

MACCLESFIELD -- The names of the victims involved in a fatal shooting Sunday morning at the Hogs Pen Pub in Macclesfield, were released Tuesday by the Edgecombe County Sheriff's Department.

Clifton Lewis Jackson, 44, of 976 Old Mark Road, Macclesfield, was shot in the back of the head during the altercation. He was transported to Heritage Hospital where he died from his injuries.

John Aaron Warlick, 51, of Macclesfield also received a gunshot wound in the upper torso. He was transported to Pitt County Memorial Hospital for treatment. He was released from the hospital Monday.

Authorities say Bobby Ray Bordeaux, 48, of Third Street was involved in an altercation outside of the bar with the two men.

At some point during the incident, Bordeaux pulled out a weapon and fired, hitting Jackson and Warlick.

He fled the scene after the shooting and was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.

Investigators have not yet determined what sparked the incident.

He is being held without bond in the Edgecombe County Jail.
