DUE WEST, S.C. -— Playing for the first time in two weeks, the Barton College men’s volleyball looked as though it hadn’t missed a beat in a 3-0 sweep of NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas host Erskine on Friday evening.

The Bulldogs, winners of seven straight, rose to 13-3 overall and 8-1 in conference matches while the Flying Fleet exited 5-14 and 3-7, respectively, with the 25-22, 25-9, 25-21 outcome.

Junior right-side hitter Angelos Mandilaris pounded down 22 kills while hitting .543 for Barton. Junior setter Oscar Fiorentino doled out 35 assists.

The Bulldogs will head farther south Saturday to play CC foe Emmanuel in Franklin Springs, Georgia. Barton returns to Wilson Gym for a match against Div. I Harvard on Monday.
