Beddingfield encountered little opposition from visiting East Wake Academy in Tuesday’s varsity boys basketball game as the Bruins rolled to a 77-52 victory.

The 2-A Eastern Plains Conference Bruins upped their record to 3-1 while East Wake, a charter school in Zebulon in the 1-A North Central Conference, dropped to 3-6.

Junior Zy’ree Wilder led Beddingfield with 21 points while freshman Mike Best had 14 points and Nasiar Blackston, another freshman, and junior Jalen Artis had 10 points each. Sophomore Issac Phillips’ 17 points paced the Eagles.

Beddingfield will host Hunt on Friday.
