PTO holding yard sale

The Springfield Middle School parent-teacher organization will have a fundraiser yard sale from 7 - 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10 at the Wilson Moose Lodge, 2705 Forest Hills Road.

Tony Lefavi in concert today

217 Brew Works located at 217 South St. will have Tony Lefavi performing live 7 - 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10 and the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck on site beginning at 6 p.m. For more information, call 252-991-6959 after 4 p.m.

Church plans gospel dance

Greater Love Church Ministries, 300-B Barnes St., will host a gospel celebration in dance at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 17 featuring the St. Paul Mime Team, the Remnant of St. James, Greater Love Praise and Dance Ministries, Potter’s Clay Ministries of Goldsboro and more.

Masons holding open house

Mount Lebanon Masonic Lodge Post 117, 2501 W. Nash St., will host an open house 5 - 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 19. Lodge members will provide a tour, introduce guests to some of the brethren and answer any questions concerning the Masons.

Prayer breakfast scheduled

Easter egg sale ends March 28

The Westmoreland Pentecostal Holiness Church women’s ministry is holding its annual Easter egg sale. The eggs are chocolate covered, peanut butter and coconut cream and may be personalized or will display the message “Happy Easter.” Each quarter-pound egg in a decorative box is $4.

Scholarship applications due April 12

The Charles H. Darden Alumni Scholarship applications have been given to Fike, Hunt and Beddingfield high schools and Wilson Early College. Aycock birthplace seeks vendors

FREMONT — The Gov. Charles B. Aycock Birthplace state historic site is recruiting vendors for its community yard sale planned from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 14.
