Players Ball planned for Saturday

The PHA Faithful Brothers of the Pride of Wilson Lodge No. 484 will present the Players Ball from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 24 at the Darden Alumni Center, 1600 Lipscomb Road, with DJ Mix Master Meatball and free food while it lasts.

Church hosting memorial blood drive

LUCAMA — The American Red Cross will have a blood drive in memory of Dick Brown from 1:30 - 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 at Little Rock Original Free Will Baptist Church, 6115 Little Rock Church Road. Walk-in donors are welcome and appointments may be scheduled at redcrossblood.org and using the sponsor code: LROFWBC. DAR chapter schedules meeting

The Thomas Hadley Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution will meet at 2 p.m. with a social time of 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the conference room of the Wilson County Public Library at 249 Nash St.

Tree-lighting, Chirstmas parade planned

BAILEY — The town of Bailey will kick off its two-day Christmas celebration with a tree-lighting planned from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 in downtown Bailey. The event will include singing, hot chocolate and cookies along with appearances from Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The festivities continue at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 with the annual Christmas parade. In addition to the parade, there will be vendors, food, face-painting and free Bibles.

Food, clothing giveaway slated

The organization Woman Up is now accepting gently used clothes, toys and household items for its annual food and clothing giveaway planned from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Omega Resource Center, 300 Fairview Ave. Hot food will also be served.

Optimists selling Christmas trees

The Wilson Breakfast Optimist Club is operating a Christmas tree lot on the corner of Forest Hills Road and Raleigh Road Parkway. The lot is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 1 - 9 p.m. on Sundays.
