Church plans food giveaway

Spaghetti dinner supports Fike band

Fike High School, 500 Harrison Drive, will have a spaghetti dinner and bake sale fundraiser from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 14. Pizza Inn will provide spaghetti and salad. Tickets are $7 and available from any Fike band member or the band director. Diners may eat in or carry out.

Breast cancer walk slated

Calvary Presbyterian Church, 209 Pender St. E., will hold a breast cancer awareness walk in honor of Dr. Jeanette Davis at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 16.

School board chair to speak on women’s history

Wilson County Board of Education Chairwoman Christine Fitch will be the keynote speaker at Jackson Chapel Church, 571 Nash St. SE, during a Women’s History Month service planned at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 9. The topic is “Have Your Own Way.” Refreshments will be served.

ALS connection group to meet

GREENVILLE — The ALS connection group for Lou Gehrig’s disease will meet for the Down East ALS Walk kickoff at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Seahorse Restaurant, 2301-A Stantonsburg Road.
