Community Impact North Carolina in Wilson recently hosted Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America and delivered a weeklong academy on the foundations of community-level prevention efforts.

The training was made possible through funding from the N.C. Division of Mental Health within the Department of Health and Human Services.

The goal was to build capacity among the state’s community coalitions and collaboratives and to equip them to address substance misuse from an evidence-based, community level model.

Community Impact N.C. is a statewide prevention provider with a mission of working in partnership with communities to support and create evidence-based practices and education that prevent and minimize the harm of substance use.

Community Impact N.C. offers a variety of services and trainings and possesses the ability to tailor trainings specific to communities’ needs.
