East Carolina and North Carolina are two of the 16 schools selected to host an NCAA Division I baseball regional, it was announced by the NCAA on Sunday night.

Four-team regionals at Clark-LeClair Stadium and Boshamer Stadium will begin Friday and run through the following Monday, if necessary and weather permitting.

ECU (43-15) won the American Athletic Conference regular-season championship, while UNC (42-17) defeated Georgia Tech in the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament championship Sunday.

The seedings and matchups will be announced Monday at noon on ESPNU.

Other regional hosts were awarded to Georgia, Georgia Tech, LSU, Oregon State, Arkansas, UCLA, Louisville, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Vanderbilt, Mississippi, Oklahoma State, Mississippi State and Stanford.
