As the Republican Party chairwoman for Wilson County, I would like to encourage all Republicans and Conservatives to vote in the upcoming city of Wilson municipal elections.

Early voting starts Oct. 17 and Election Day is Nov. 5.

Strong leadership at the local level with experience is important. Our city council has done a good job.

Over the past two years alone, we have seen seven new companies locate in Wilson along with other company expansions creating over 1,180 good-paying jobs. Indirect jobs from these full-time positions are estimated to be over 3,000.

In 2017, new commercial building permit values were $51 million, in 2018 they were $93 million and this year, we are at $163 million.

We must get out and vote to continue our positive growth and economic development. Please go vote this election cycle.
