A student was arrested after deputies say he brought a knife to Fike High School on Wednesday.
Kevin Dominguez, 16, was arrested by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office at 12:40 p.m. according to Chief of Staff Wanda Samuel.
Samuel said that someone reported that they had seen Dominguez with the knife.
The student was questioned and a knife was located in his pants pocket.
Dominguez was taken before a magistrate and charged with possession of a weapon on school campus.
According to Samuel, the student was placed under a custody order.
There were no reports of threats involving the knife, according to Samuel.
According to the North Carolina Court System website, Dominguez is scheduled to appear in Wilson District Court on the charge Nov. 14.
