The Opportunities Industrialization Center of Wilson will hold its quarterly emergency food distribution from 8 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Nov. 27 at its 801 Reid St. headquarters.
Qualified applicants on fixed incomes and those receiving public assistance are welcome to attend. Items that will be distributed to each qualified applicant include chicken breast, ground beef, pork loin roast, pork patty, apples, red kidney beans, split green beans, split pea yellow beans, navy beans, oranges, pistachios, potatoes, rice, garbanzo beans/chick peas, corn, orange juice, vegetable oil, spaghetti, peaches, peanut butter, pumpkin, sweet potatoes, bacon and assorted pastries.
OIC officials said only one order will be allotted per person. Each order will weigh more than 150 pounds.
The Wilson County Health Department will be on-site to provide free confidential health screenings and free flu shots.
The food distribution is an all-volunteer project. The OIC of Wilson offers job training and assistance to meet community needs through a variety of programs.
