BLACK CREEK — Frank Edwin Phillips, 69, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019. Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, July 11, at Thomas-Yelverton Funeral Home, Wilson. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.

The family will receive friends 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home located at 2704 Nash St. N., Wilson.

Frank served his country in the Army Reserves. He worked as a mechanic for Gates Volkswagen Repair and retired from Kidde Aerospace with 35 years of service. Frank enjoyed hunting, fishing and four-wheeling. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his son, Jason Frank Phillips (Elizabeth Ann) of Wilson; three granddaughters, Rhiannon Phillips, Charleigh Phillips and Jolene Phillips, all of Wilson; one brother, Fred Phillips of Wilson; two sisters, Linda Phillips Pope (Jerry) of Middlesex and Judy Phillips of Wilson; three nieces, Caroline Mainor, Elizabeth Cochrane and Jennifer Tate; and one nephew, Trey Rose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lee and Callie Winders Phillips.
