Gray’s Hardcore Boxing to hold amateur sign-ups today

Wilson boxing trainer Leroy Gray will hold sign-ups for his revived amateur boxing team beginning Saturday at 11 a.m. at Gray’s Hardcore Boxing, located at 1001 Randolph Street.

Applications for males and females will be accepted in two separate age groups, Ages 10-13 and Ages 14-21.

Signups will last until 6 p.m. and the registration fee is $100.

If under the age of 18, applicants must bring a parent or legal guardian at the time of sign-up. All applicants must provide of copy of their birth certificates.

Registration for The SPOT hoops is under way

Registration for The SPOT’s youth basketball program for ages 8-13 is under way and will continue to Thursday, Nov. 9.

The cost is $25 per player and online registration is available at thewilsonspot.org.

The age is determined by what age the player will be Jan. 1, 2018. A birth certificate is required to register.

Skills evaluations for all players will be held Nov. 9 with ages 8-10 running from 6:15-7 p.m. and ages 11-13 from 7:15-8 p.m. Practice will begin Monday, Nov. 13 and the season will run from Nov. 20 until Jan. 5. There will be be no weekend games.

Leagues for ages 5-7 and ages 13-15 are coming soon.
