ROCKY MOUNT — James Richard Rose, 37, passed away Nov. 5, 2018.

He was born in Wilson County on Dec. 16, 1980 to Larry and Patricia Bryant Rose.

James was a very gifted mechanic, loved cooking and grilling out. He was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. He was always helping people and never met a stranger. James was there for everyone and especially his beloved dog Cami.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Wiley Rose and Shirley Rose; and maternal grandparents, J.B. Bryant and Mildred Bryant.

James leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Larry Richard “Ricky” Rose Sr. and Patricia “Pat” B. Rose; daughter, Makayla Atkinson; brother; Larry R. Rose Jr.; sisters, Gwyn R. Weber, and husband, Paul Weber Jr.; nephews, Matthew Rose and Bryant P. Weber; nieces, Emily Rose and Jenna and Raegan Weber.

A celebration of life will be held 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, in the Chapel of Cornerstone Funeral Home with Pastor Luther Spell officiating. Visitation with family and friends will follow after the service.
