WILMINGTON — The visiting Wilson Christian Academy girls basketball team boosted its record to 10-1 with 41-25 triumph against Cape Fear Academy on Thursday.

The Lady Chargers were sparked by Gracie Farmer with 12 points and Hailey Carnes with nine.

WCA welcomes Hilltop Christian of Wilmington on Friday.

Hoskins, Mills key WCA win

ROCKY MOUNT —Behind 13 points from Will Hoskins and 10 from Jordan Mills, the visiting Wilson  Christian Academy boys basketball team posted a 54-48 victory against Faith Christian on Thursday.

The Chargers are back in action Friday at home against Hilltop Christian of Fuquay-Varina.

CBA dealt 57-41 loss by J.H. Rose

PIKEVILLE — Outscored 16-2 in the third quarter, the host Charles B. Aycock High boys basketball team dropped a 57-41 decision to 3-A/4-A Eastern Carolina Conference rival Greenville Rose on Wednesday.

The Golden Falcons tumbled to 6-9 in all games.

Top CBA scorers were Ethan Brock with 10 points and Connor Batts with eight.
