Lady Falcons start 2-0 in conference

GREENVILLE — The Charles B. Aycock High varsity girls basketball team continued its successful start to the 3-A/4-A Eastern Carolina Conference season with a 46-34 conquest of host 3-A Greenville Rose on Friday evening.

Senior Cassandra Lassiter tossed in 13 points and freshman Kaitlyn Parrish bucketed 12 as the 3-A Lady Golden Falcons improved to 2-0 in the conference and to 3-6 in all games.

CBA took command after transforming a 10-5 deficit after one quarter into an 18-16 lead at halftime.

Lassiter, senior Hannah Vinson and freshman Kaitlyn Smith each knocked in a 3-point shot.

Ania Sands paced the Lady Rampants with 14 points.
