ROCKY MOUNT — The Wilson Parks and Recreation Department Little Demons kicked off their Eastern North Carolina Football League season for youth tackle football Saturday, Sept. 9, at Northern Nash.

In the varsity game, the Little Demons rushed for 222 yards with Ncarrius Woodard accounting for 189 of that total along with a pair of touchdown runs. WPRD’s first TD came on a 25-yard scramble by Evan Gregory, who broke multiple tackle attempts. The last TD was scored by Bryson Wagner.
On defense, the Little Demons limited Northern Nash to minus-1 rushing yard and 72 through the air with 50 coming on one play.
The Little Demon jayvees were just as dominant as they ran for 225 yards and threw for 100. Jashon Graham had the big day with 215 rushing yards and all 100 receiving yards from quarterback William Monk. Jayden Anderson led the defense with four tackles and a fumble recovery.
In the rookie division, which doesn’t report scores, Delarin “Sammy” Finch scored on an 85-yard run for the Little Demons.
The first home games for the Little Demons are set for Saturday, Sept. 16, at Fike High’s Buddy Bedgood Stadium, starting at 8:30 a.m.
