The Wilson Prep boys basketball team outscored DASH 50-13 on Monday to coast to victory.

David Ellis was the Tigers’ (5-0) leading scorer with eight points, while Isaih Buck chipped in seven.

The Tigers will travel to Rocky Mount Faith Christian on Friday at 4 p.m.

Blue Chargers drop close one

The Wilson Christian boys Blue team lost 41-35 to Wayne Country Day on Monday afternoon.

In defeat, Briceson Martin and Simon Quinn scored 14 each to account for most of the Chargers’ (4-4) points.

Wilson Christian will play at Raleigh New Life Camp on Friday.

Bucks down Hawks

The Forest Hills girls basketball team took down Toisnot 26-9 on Monday. Jamaria Freeman led the Bucks with 12 points, while Aiyana Harrison scored five.

Jalia Daniels led the Hawks with four points.

Lady Knights top Ridgecroft

AHOSKIE — Led by Avery Williams with 13 points, the Greenfield girls basketball team improved to 6-1 on the season with a 31-17 dominant win over host Ridgecroft on Monday.

Darcy Dean added eight points to help the Knights to victory.

Thomas leads Greenfield to win

AHOSKIE —A 16-point effort from Charles Thomas led the Greenfield boys basketball team to a 34-30 victory at Ridgecroft on Monday.

Garrison Wester compiled eight points to help the Knights.

Springfield closes out against Speight

The Springfield girls basketball team beat Speight 26-23 on Monday for its first victory of the season.

Victoria Coleman led the Wilcats (1-1) with 12 points, while Allison Moore added five and Dakota Wilkins had three points.

Springfield will host West Edgecombe on Thursday.
