The family of a Pennsylvania woman who disappeared after a recent stay at a Wilson hotel is asking for the public’s help.

Wilson police say 32-year-old Sianeh Togbah Sherman had stayed at the Sleep Inn at 5011 Hayes Place near Interstate 95 on April 9.

“I’m praying every day that my daughter comes home safely,” said Sherman’s mother, Bendu Outland-Togbah.

Officers found Sherman’s belongings in the hotel room, but no signs of her were present, police said.

Family members say they last spoke with Sherman on April 10.

“She was in good spirits,” said her sister, Kweeta Togbah. She said her sister was a model and was trying to make it big. “She was traveling in regards to some modeling gigs,” her sister said, adding that Sherman told her she was taking a leap of faith.

Family members said they traveled to Wilson over the weekend in hopes of finding any clues regarding their missing loved one and to speak with authorities.

Sherman is a mother of two young children.

“I don’t know how to tell a 3-year-old and 5-year-old their mother is missing,” her mother said. “It is very emotional. Her children miss her. We miss her.”

The Wilson Police Department is continuing to assist the Pennsylvania State Police in the missing person case. Sherman is of Liberian descent and lived in Atglen, a borough in Chester County near Philadelphia.

Sherman was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Touraeg with Pennsylvania license plate RNW-6511. Authorities here say the missing vehicle has been entered into the National Crime Information Center law enforcement database.

Sherman’s family said they aren’t sure how she got to Wilson. Family members said she didn’t tell them where she was traveling.

“We are pleading that she comes home safely,” Sherman’s mother said. “We are just pleading if the public knows anything to contact the police.”

Anyone who has seen Sherman or has information on her current whereabouts is asked to call the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323 or Crime Stoppers at 252-243-2255.
