Two political newcomers filed paperwork Friday to run for town council seats in Wilson County.

Since filing began at noon on July 5, 21 residents have filed paperwork at the Wilson County Board of Elections. Filing continues through noon Friday for the upcoming municipal election. There are 28 seats in seven Wilson County towns on the ballot this fall.

BLACK CREEK

Stanley Talton is seeking to snag a commissioner seat on the town of Black Creek’s board. All five seats are open for challengers. Town commissioner terms are two years.

SARATOGA

Delance Ellis also filed her paperwork Friday to run for Saratoga town commissioner. There are three commissioner seats are open on the board. Each seat carries a two-year term.
