My campaign slogan is “One Wilson.” Many people have asked what that means. It’s simple: It means that we as a city can grow together. We as a city can support each other in times of need. We as a city can make Wilson better together by strengthening our foundation.
As mayor of Wilson, it will be my unwavering duty to bring our city together as one. It will be my unwavering duty and desire to help those families that have someone battling with a dreadful drug addiction, find innovative ways to support our educators and schools and give even more support to our first responders. It is also my desire to see equitable housing for all residents across Wilson.
Organizations such as Wilson Community College, the OIC and WCIA that provide workforce development need to supported in a mighty way, to help anyone who wants to work have the tools needed to get gainful employment. We also need to encourage more businesses that are able to provide living wages, not just minimum wage, to come to Wilson so our community can grow economically and families within our city can thrive.
With the chaos and disorder that seems to be going on all around us, I want Wilson to be a beacon of light and hope. I want to see our city move in a positive direction, not just for us but for our children and our children’s children.
It is time for a change. It is time to take our city to the next level. I’m running for mayor of Wilson, not just for us, but for our future.
