Police are searching for a woman reported missing from Wilson Medical Center on Thursday evening.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons issued a Silver Alert for 30-year-old Tempiest Tenieka Barnes at 6:57 p.m. Authorities say Barnes was last seen at the 1705 Tarboro St. hospital.

Barnes is described as a black woman who is 5 feet, 7 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds and has short black hair and brown eyes.

Silver Alerts are issued for people of any age who are believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. Subjects of the statewide advisories are considered to be missing and endangered.

Anyone who sees Barnes or has information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Officer Weaver by calling the Wilson Police Department at 252-399-2323.
