Police are investigating a Sunday shooting that left a man injured.
Officers were dispatched to a 9:23 p.m. call to the 1200 block of Fifth Street. When police arrived, they found 22-year-old Ronterius D. Hodges suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg, according to Sgt. Steve Stroud.
Responding officers provided first aid to Hodges, who was subsequently taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment, Stroud said.
Police describe the suspect in the case as a black teenage boy believed to be 14 to 15 years old who is 6 feet tall and has an “Afro-style” haircut.
