As part of the Summer Sounds Benefit Concert Series, the Praise Gospel Singers will present an evening of spiritual music, accompanied by Bill Myers, at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Edna Boykin Cultural Center.

Malinda Wallace founded The Praise Gospel Singers, who have been steadfast in their music ministry for many years. Their unique style of music has afforded them the opportunity to appear on programs with many gospel artists, traveling far and near. When not on the road, they provide music at local assisted-living homes, hospitals and for in-home patients. They also accept bookings for special occasion celebrations.

Tickets are $20 each and will be available at the door; they may also be purchased in advance by visiting the box office at the Boykin Center or by calling the Arts Council of Wilson at 252-291-4329. All proceeds will go toward upgrading the Boykin Center sound system.

Remaining concerts include the following:

• Thursday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. — “Dale Bryce Collective” featuring the best of Herbie Hancock

• Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. — The Praise Gospel Singers with special guest Bill Myers

• Sunday, Sept. 23 at 8 p.m. — The Speculations
